None of us are exclusively one type of personality and will be a combination of all of them, but with a prevalence of 1 or 2 of these types. We all have different preferences in terms of how we like to communicate and how we like people to communicate with us. Some of us are reserved, whilst others are more outgoing. Some of us may be people focused, whilst others of us are task focused. Some of us like our information provided in headlines, in broad brush strokes, whilst others prefer more of the detail to be explained. Some of us act before we think, and think about it afterwards, whilst others think before we act.
A DISC profile helps you unlock:
- Your preferred ways of communicating
- How you like to be communicated with
- What motivates you
- What your preferred environment might be
- How you approach tasks or challenges
- How you process information
- The pace at which you like to work at
I have found DISC to be an invaluable tool when working with individual or teams, as it throws light on both strengths and areas for development. A DISC profile will explain why you find it easier to work with certain people, and in certain settings, and also provides powerful ways of improving how you operate in more challenging situations. For team members, it provides a clear profile of each individual, together with a shared framework, and language for moving forward. The new knowledge that DISC profiling brings to individuals can help them achieve productive and positive relationships in different situations.
Will I be offered a DISC profile?
I am trained and accredited in DISC profiling, and therefore able to offer it to every client.
On discussion with and agreement with a client at my free discovery, I offer a DISC profile as one of the tools to start our journey together. It is usual practice for me to send out the DISC profile for you to complete following your discovery session. I build the cost of the profile into the package of 4 or 6 sessions.
When working with Teams, in agreement with the sponsor or team leader, I will similarly offer a DISC profile to all team members at the outset of our work together.
